Exploitation Event | Slovenia
The event was organized jointly by the Faculty of Theology and the Ministry of Education. It was attended by school directors, mentors, new teachers and representatives from both organizers. Attendees were split into three groups with the aim of preparing proposals for the guidelines.
The first group dealt with the issue of how to unburden the mentors, the second one with the issue of adaptability of the school environment, while the third group was discussing the issue of updating study programs to empower new teachers.
Among the groups, various problem areas were raised, such as the immigrant question, the suitability of new teachers, and a lack of practical working experience during studies, among others.
Overall, attendees agreed that mentoring programs are an essential and very welcoming part of the teacher career, both at the entry level for mentees and the senior level for the mentors.
